About the Author

What particularly fascinates you about your job?

There is always an opportunity to improve our products and ultimately improve patient outcomes. Leading product management for our transport automation lines affords me the opportunity to constantly question the status quo by observing and listening, asking customers, “what if…” and ideally identifying gaps in our offerings that we can help fill.

What are the key steps in your professional journey?

I began my career is sales and then marketing and advertising. This has given me a good perspective to think of our customers and users first, focusing less on the technology and more on the value our products and services bring. At the end of the day. In my advertising days we used to say, “If it ain’t selling something, hang it on the wall and call it art.” Similar in the world of product development, if it ain’t solving a problem a customer will pay us for, its just an interesting widget.

Please tell us about your personally.

As the saying goes, I’m not a Colorado native but I got here as fast as I could. I have been married for over 30-years, have two amazing (grown) children and try to enjoy Colorado’s great outdoors as often as possible.
