The Future of Healthcare

Swisslog Healthcare offers an advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) elective rotation to students pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. In cooperation with accredited Schools of Pharmacy, the Swisslog Healthcare APPE offers a rare opportunity to step beyond traditional clinical practice and experience how pharmacy, automation, and healthcare technology come together to improve patient care. Students gain handson exposure to cuttingedge automation solutions while working alongside experts across the business. Activities will involve a variety of departments including Pharmacy Affairs, Product Management, Marketing and Project Management. The rotation is supervised by an experienced pharmacist with an extensive background in pharmacy practice and industry. 

This rotation is ideal for students interested in: 

• Pharmacy informatics 

• Medication safety and workflow optimization

• Healthcare technology and automation 

• Industry, product development, or non-traditional pharmacy careers

Site Location and Logistics 

• Students are based at the North American Headquarters in Westminster, Colorado, located between Denver and Boulder.  
•  The student is responsible for transportation, housing, and all other expenses association with the rotation.   Swisslog Healthcare does not provide a stipend or salary with the rotation.

Among the multiple departments that regularly host interns, we recently celebrated our 45th pharmacy student having worked with the Swisslog Healthcare project management team.
