
Junior Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer, you play a central role in the successful implementation of customer projects by managing the software server infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration between automation hardware and third-party systems. You act as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle and collaborate closely with internal teams, customers, and external vendors.

Your collaboration
- Advising customer teams on the required server infrastructure and acting as the subject matter expert for software systems and integration
- Installing and integrating internal systems and third-party interfaces, including HL7, SQL, and scripting-based solutions
- Deploying software updates and upgrades to customer environments as needed
- Collaborating with Project Managers and Site Installation Managers to ensure seamless connectivity between automation hardware and server infrastructure
- Leading the setup and programming of labeling systems according to best practices
- Supporting Sales and Service teams in EMEA and APAC with effort estimates and scope definitions for special projects
- Working closely with technical product teams and Technology Centers to develop and refine deployment standards and software best practices
Your competence
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or 3+ years of relevant experience in healthcare software deployment or customer support
- Familiarity with healthcare interface standards (e.g., HL7) and integration engines such as Mirth Connect or Rhapsody
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to understand complex system integrations and data flows
- Experience with Microsoft SQL for querying and data manipulation
- Proficient in scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, Bash, Ruby, or Python
- Skilled in installing, configuring, and supporting Windows Workstation, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and Linux applications
- Familiar with support tools like SecureLink, BeyondTrust, GitHub, Slack, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel within the EMEA region for team collaboration and customer project support
- Experience with Crystal Reports or similar SQL reporting tools
- Experience with Troubleshooting IT infrastructure including networks, and VPNs
