Efficient processes in the lab are crucial for patient care. The OpenLog+ station for our TranspoNet pneumatic tube system shortens throughput times by unloading samples automatically. Test results are available faster and patients can be discharged sooner. Hospitals can easily improve the quality of care – all while benefiting from a short amortization period of the investment.

The station is used in combination with the SmartOpen carrier to allow automatic unloading.

By connecting your OpenLog+ station to the lab analysis line, you’ll take another step towards automation: our OpenLog interface transports automatically unloaded samples to the analysis line via a direct connection. Manual transportation in the lab is replaced by more efficient workflows.

Automated sending processes improve efficiency in hospitals. The AutoSend station helps staff return empty carriers to the system. It is usually installed on the floor below the lab. This way, empty carriers are transported to where they are needed most urgently.

Additional extensions

SystemBuffer – efficient temporary storage

SystemBuffer can temporarily store up to four carriers – it is therefore an efficient extension for your pneumatic tube system. When carriers containing critical goods such as blood or narcotics are stored in SystemBuffer, the staff is notified about the available carriers. After identifying themselves, they can retrieve the carrier.

SystemBuffer prevents backlogs in the system due to protected deliveries that haven’t been retrieved. It supports the “patient first” guideline in hospitals.

SafetyLock – additional safety feature

SafetyLock is another add-on for your pneumatic tube system and is a retrofit for stations without mechanical lock and access card reader. SafetyLock adds a safety feature to your stations.

It is suitable for goods that can only be retrieved by authorized personnel. Respective carriers are not dispensed immediately, but only after staff show required proof of authorization.
