Software Engineer - User Interface, Front End Developer

The User Interface Software Engineer designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software applications, focusing on the User Interface of both our servers, as well as our transport automation pneumatic tube system (PTS) equipment. This person will support and/or install software applications and control systems, understanding key roles within the Agile methodology and how development is empowered to success. Ability to understand system functionality and able to design and implement an efficient user interface to streamline workflows in using the Pneumatic Tube System. Must be expert with object-oriented principles and design patterns.

  • Understand system operation and focus on delivering the best user experience possible to maximize product value.
  • Develop new code architecture.
  • Supports installation of applications.
  • Demonstrates mentoring & consulting with other related functions within Engineering.
  • Displays technical specifications and design aspects.
  • Researching, analyzing, solving and correcting customer issues under significant time pressure.

Your competence

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or combined equivalent in education and experience
  • 3 years working knowledge and experience with the below software languages
    • HTML, CSS
    • JavaScript, Typescript, AngularJS and Angular
    • C#
    • ASP.NET and IIS
    • Databases Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience designing user interfaces/web development
  • Extensive knowledge of software design patterns including
  • Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming
Desirable but not Essential:
  • Worked 3 years with Agile Methodology and able to perform SCRUM duties as necessary.
  • 3+ years related engineering experience.
  • Software release strategies and configuration
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Jira
Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
