Company Strengthens Community Ties with Donations and Volunteer Hours
April 3, 2025
BROOMFIELD, Colo. (April 3, 2025) - Swisslog Healthcare, a leading supplier in pharmacy and transport automation solutions, donated $6,000 to three local non-profit organizations as part of its ongoing community engagement efforts.
Swisslog Healthcare hosted a lunch and learn event at its headquarters for employees, featuring three local non-profits: Food Bank of the Rockies, Project Worthmore, and Veterans Community Project. Each organization presented its mission and highlighted volunteer opportunities for 2025.
"This lunch and learn event showed our commitment to fostering a culture of giving back to our community," said Melody Watkins, Executive Assistant to the CEO at Swisslog Healthcare. "By introducing our employees to these impactful local non-profits and supporting these organizations financially, we are encouraging our team to engage in meaningful volunteer work through our Volunteer Time Off program."
The donations align with Swisslog Healthcare's ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives and its Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, launched in early 2024. The VTO program allows employees to take paid time off for volunteer activities, providing opportunities to give back to their local community.
"The early success of our VTO program is a testament to our employees' dedication to making a difference. Events like this not only educate our team about local needs but also inspire them to take action and contribute to causes they're passionate about," said Desha Holmes, Global Internal Communications & Marketing Operations Manager at Swisslog Healthcare.
The VTO program yielded significant results in its first year, with Swisslog Healthcare employees contributing 584 volunteer hours to various charitable causes. This engagement extends the company's positive impact beyond its business operations and into the communities it serves.
Swisslog Healthcare's community engagement strategy combines financial support with hands-on volunteerism, creating a multifaceted approach to corporate social responsibility. By fostering these connections with local non-profits, the company aims to address community needs while also enriching its corporate culture.
