The Associate Project Manager has the primary responsibility of managing the scope, schedule and budget of all projects assigned, while demonstrating a working knowledge of Pharmacy Automation products and project management techniques. Additionally, the Project Manager is expected to work with their customers to clearly understand their customer’s goals and apply their experience and expertise (or correct resource from their team) to guide the customer to a successful implementation of Swisslog Healthcare’s solutions.

Your collaboration

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for the management of multiple concurrent customer projects, with a focus on smaller projects within the existing install base of customers. Projects in your portfolio are typically less than six months in duration but will vary in scope and length. Project Managers lead the customer through the realization process and coordinates the activities of team members. This is an entry level project management opportunity.

Projects are supported through skillful management of scope, schedules, and budgets. Responsibilities include schedule development, materials procurement, budgeting/forecasting and providing exceptional customer service and communication. As the project leader you will direct and coordinate all activities with the customer and internal teams from contract signing, through installation and training to project close.

Manage a portfolio of small projects typically lasting less than 6 months in length
  • Coordinate project team activities
  • Manage procurement of project related hardware and software
  • Conducts & participates in project meetings to review and assess the progress of the project
  • Primary contact for any issues that arise related to the implementation
  • Ensure that all issues are documented, and resolutions reached
  • Escalate issues if required
  • Provide support for go-live activities
  • Perform other duties as required to support the delivery of best-in-the-business customer support
  • Manage the project budget, revenue projections, risks, and scope
  • Responsible for preparing and completing the customer acceptance process

Your competence

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience/certificate education
  • Process and detail oriented professional
  • Computer Proficient: including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in IT and server related projects
  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer service

  • Desirable but not Essential:
    • IT experience, particularly in the areas of IT support or planning
    • Hospital or Healthcare experience
    • Basic skills with project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project
    • Experience working with customers in a vendor organization environment
