The Inside Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving the renewal of Service and Support agreements set to expire in the current calendar year. In addition to managing renewals, this role involves engaging in strategic, open-ended conversations with existing customers to identify potential upsell opportunities, particularly within the Transport Automation (TA) product line.

This position will oversee a regional portfolio of 600+ customers, ensuring the successful execution of all renewal contracts and software upgrade initiatives within the assigned territory.

Your collaboration

  • As an Inside Sales Representative for Transport Automation, you will be responsible for driving Service and Support Agreement renewals within your assigned territory. Key duties include:
    • Managing Contract Renewals – Analyze existing performance contracts and collaborate with Field Service Managers to ensure customer satisfaction and contract alignment.
    • Proactive Customer Engagement – Present renewal proposals to customers a minimum of 120 days prior to contract expiration.
    • Upsell Opportunities – Identify and promote additional support services and complementary product lines to existing customers.
    • Proposal Development – Create professional proposals and work cross-functionally with relevant departments to ensure accurate pricing and tailored solutions.
    • Finalizing Agreements – Lead the end-to-end process of booking and securing final contract agreements with purchase orders.
  • Responsible for current client relationship management as it relates to customer renewals and adjacent cross sell opportunities in your assigned regions.
  • Meet or exceed monthly renewal quotas.
  • Create data analytics and regularly update CRM database (SalesForce.com) to support outside sales activities and develop larger projects from inside leads and maintain accurate order intake forecasting.
  • Proactively contact your top accounts in your territory quarterly to maintain the trusted advisor role and assist in communicating about new technologies checking in on how the contract is performing and if they have used any of their spare parts allotment.
  • Responsible for developing strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders within your top accounts.
  • Work with Inside Sales Supervisor to strategize on how you will work towards meeting your renewal and new business order intake targets.
  • Provide best-in-class customer service and follow up post sale.
  • Participate in sales meetings, trainings seminars and coaching activities throughout the year.
  • Develop network of key vertical participants to gain visibility of emerging opportunities within your territory.
  • Maintain dialog with clients and prospects to stay abreast of changes in the market.
  • Make 25+ calls/emails on select call/emails days to existing and prospective customers.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Your competence

  • 2+ years in a Sales or Sales Support position.
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with a CRM system.
  • Ability to utilize Internet search and reporting functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outbound client contact skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented.

Desirable, but not Essential:
  • Telemarketing campaign experience.
  • Presentation production experience.

Compensation: Base salary range for this position is $64,000 to $70,000, plus sales incentive plan. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
