
Master Production Scheduler (Contractor) - Denver, CO

The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and implementing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.
This position is responsible for providing the plant with a weekly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast, as well as determining the desired inventory levels for finished goods and supporting materials, including safety stock levels. The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, engineering releases, historical consumption and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans, weekly, for a rolling 12-month period.
This individual will evaluate sales forecasts, historical data, desired service levels, and sales order backlog
to develop, recommend and implement master production plans, stocking parameters, and inventory control procedures to fulfill sales and operations plans, while optimizing the utilization of inventory investments and labor resources. Evaluate and approve new product releases and design changes to ensure adequacy of data and compatibility with
business requirements. Plan for and provide interdepartmental coordination within affected areas of the organization. Perform detailed production planning and scheduling activities to ensure the timely execution of production plans.
Also responsible for key planning and material master functions in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) process.

Your collaboration
- Manage SAP ERP master data for production via both SAP and PLM.
- Generate and maintain the Master Production Schedule using a variety of inputs, including sales orders, historical data, sales forecasts, and inputs from the Sales & Operations teams.
- Load and maintain demand forecasts and develop production schedules to support them.
- Control the inventory of assigned production parts/materials in accordance with management objectives and to ensure total customer satisfaction within required timeline, quality standards, and total cost constraints.
- Compile Rough Cut Capacity Plan and maintain production capacity parameters.
- Analyze and provide feedback to appropriate departments on material status / requirements for fulfilling customer demand.
- Provide lead times to the Customer Service team regarding Available To Promise date for customer demand fulfillment.
- Check availability of inventory prior to firming/releasing work orders using system queries and reports.
- Administer appropriate lean production strategies including production Kanbans, etc.
- Manage material and production exceptions to meet consistently meet customer requirements on time.
- Collaborate with multiple suppliers and distribution locations to ensure proper inventory levels for finished goods and components.
- Develop, improve, and monitor reporting processes & systems to control supply chain functions.
- Collaborate with Strategic Procurement, Project Management and Customer Service teams to optimize supply chain and logistics solutions, in order to maximize On Time Delivery while minimizing inventory investment.
- Make recommendations to management regarding improvements in supply chain processes to increase company efficiency, optimize total cost of ownership, and improve delivery performance to customers.
- Adhere to Swisslog Healthcare quality and safety systems.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Your competence
- Four-year degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of scheduling & planning in a manufacturing environment.
- APICS CPIM certification.
- Strong computer skills, with emphasis on using MS Outlook/Word/Excel, Adobe Distiller, and Auto-CAD.
- Experience with an enterprise-wide information system such as SAP.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service-oriented interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions (P/D/C/A).
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must exhibit a professional business demeanor and be capable of handling stressful and demanding interpersonal interactions, while working flexible hours dependent upon workload.
- APICS CSCP certification.
- 2+ years of experience with advanced planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or related system in master data administration, order entry, scheduling, and/or warehouse administration.
- Experience working specifically with the MM and PP modules within SAP.
- Mechanical and electrical technical aptitude; specifically, the ability to read and understand technical drawings and apply such knowledge in day-to-day business.
Compensation: Salary range for this position is $67,000-82,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
This position is located in Broomfield, Colorado; this individual must reside in the Denver, CO metropolitan area.
